To do anything significant, I have to be… | Teen Life Christian Youth Articles, Daily Devotions

To do anything significant, I have to be…

... intelligent, attractive, exciting, or something else?

If i’m going to do anything significant … I have be what?

Powerful?
Rich?
Smart?
Hilarious?
Dynamic?
Interesting?
Wise?
Talented?

No.

Faithful.

Definition: Adhering firmly and devotedly, as to a person, cause, or idea; loyal.

Paul said…

“I thank him who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he judged me faithful, appointing me to his service…” (1 Timothy 1:12)

If I want to be appointed to his service, and I want that to count for something, then before I work on anything in the list above, I need to be faithful.

Faithful in the small things.

Faithful in the behind the scenes things.

Faithful to my relationships. And faithful to a life lived with God.

If I can learn to be faithful, then I can do something significant.

After all, Jesus said… “One who is faithful in very little is also faithful in much..” (Luke 16:10)
