Think winners of 'The Voice' have got powerful voices? Wait till you hear this...
In reality TV talent show, The Voice, contestants with the most powerful voices win. At first, their voice needs to be powerful enough to turn the judges’ chair around. Then their voices need to be powerful enough to get the audience to vote for them, like them on Facebook and buy their songs on iTunes.
But when it comes to powerful voices, God’s wins hands down.
Check out Psalm 29...
"The voice of the LORD is over the waters;
the God of glory thunders,
the LORD thunders over the mighty waters.
The voice of the LORD is powerful;
The voice of the LORD is majestic.
The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars;
the LORD breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.
He makes Lebanon leap like a calf,
Sirion like a young wild ox.
The voice of the LORD strikes
with flashes of lightning.
The voice of the LORD shakes the desert;
The LORD shakes the Desert of Kadesh.
The voice of the LORD twists the oaks
and strips the forests bare."
This is the voice; God’s Voice!
Responding to God's Voice
God’s voice is glorious, powerful and majestic. God’s voice doesn’t just turns judges chairs, it breaks and twists trees, moves countries, shakes desert and strips forests bare.
When we hear God’s voice we should worship Him.
When we hear God’s voice we will be strengthen and blessed.
So you have heard the voice of the Lord? Are you listening intently to what God says to you? Can you hear God’s voice above all the noise of business, entertainment, study and peer group pressure?
Rejoice in God’s Voice. For this is The Voice.
