I moved to Sydney from Jervis Bay to study Ancient History at Macquarie University with the prospect of becoming an archaeologist.  However God had other plans and put on my heart the desire to pursue children’s ministry. I completed my degree and and then for two years I underwent an MTS Apprenticeship in Children’s ministry. My apprenticeship was at MBM Rooty Hill, and I had the awesome opportunity to be trained by Sandy Galea.
Alongside my apprenticeship I studied a Diploma of Theology & Diploma of Ministry at Youthworks College. I wish to become a School chaplain and/ or scripture teacher. So I am now studying a Master of Teaching (Primary). I recently got married to my wonderful husband who I met at MBM. I currently work in After School Care whilst serving at my church (MBM) in Kids Club, Kids Church and Scripture.
Throughout my MTS apprenticeship under Sandy, I discovered my love of writing. I love any opportunity to write children’s programs, whether it be games, dramas, stories or discussion groups and I hope to be able to pursue that more in the future.
Despite my passion to teach children the good news of Jesus, I have discovered a desire to also write for youth and young adults. I have recently been given the opportunity to write for Fervr and I look forward to contributing to the amazing work that it has already achieved.
