If you read the first chapter of the Gospel of John (which is dated to within 70 years of Jesus’ time on earth), you will see that already people were believing that Jesus was God. Dan Brown’s characters are wrong about Constantine declaring Jesus to be God in 325AD. They already believed he was God more than 200 years before that!
