Year 12 exams: the big picture - part II

Part 2: there is life after year 12 & God is in control

The is a saying that goes “step away from the tree in front of you and take look at the forest.” One of the key things about approaching exams is remembering the BIG picture.

In the last part of this series we were looking at the importance of working hard to develop perseverance and character. It is indeed those things that are fully realized when you come out the other end of year 12.

Finishing these exams brings great relief and incredible joy. But while you are in the thick of exams it is important not to lose perspective. Focus on the task at hand, yes, but remember there is life after year 12.

For a believer of Jesus there is eternal life to look forward to.

"I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us". (Romans 8:18)

Always keep in sight the amazing hope of new creation. A world renewed, with no crying or pain (or exams).  A perfect world where we get to live in God’s presence. The world we are in now, the exams facing you now will mean nothing when Jesus returns in glory!! Maybe he will even come during one of your exams?

It is so easy to get caught up in your own world of exams and study and forget about eternity. So remember that God is control. He has a sovereign plan that you are part of.

Work hard but remember the big picture.

Always keep Jesus #1…. Not study.
