Win a break for your youth leader

Is your youth leader looking tired? Refresh their spirits by entering them in this competition!

Have you noticed the hint of grey hair and the tired look in your youth leader’s eyes recently?

It’s probably because we’re almost at the end of the year and your Youth leader deserves a much needed break!

While your youth leaders will continually be encouraging you to honour and obey your parents, serve your brothers and sisters in Christ,  share Jesus with your friends and love your enemies …they may forget to remind you that the Bible actually instructs you to encourage them as well!

Why you need to look after your youth leader:

Hebrews 13:7 says “Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you”. Well that sounds pretty easy doesn’t it?

But the next verse goes on to say: “Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.” That definitely makes things more challenging ... particularly if your Youth leader is someone like Paul, or William Wilberforce or Josh Harris!

And just as it would be ridiculous to ‘imitate’ Jesus and yet refuse to obey him, Paul goes on to say in Hebrews “obey your leaders and submit to their authority” (Hebrews 13:17).

“They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you.”

How to look after your youth leader:

A tired, grumpy, worn-out youth minister or youth leader is not going to be able to give you their very best. When you imitate and obey them, you are also being an encouragement to them.

The Bible doesn’t just stop there in its instructions on encouraging your leaders. In Galatians 6:6, Paul says “anyone who receives instruction in the word must share all good things with his instructor”.

Sharing “all good things” refers to material possessions (this is why we support our church leaders through the offertory) as well as actions of support and words of encouragement.

So can I encourage YOU to encourage your Youth Minister and your youth leaders that tirelessly seek to serve and encourage you so that you may come to full maturity in Christ. In fact you can even do this right now by entering the competition below!

Win a break for your youth leader:

If your youth leader is like this then we encourage you to “dob them in” so that they might be refreshed, encouraged and inspired at the Youth Ministry Conference run by Youthworks in December.

(N.B. Sometimes Youth Ministers just forget that they need to be refreshed, so a push in the right direction is all they need!)

After you fill out the form below we will send an email to your Youth Minister telling them that they have been “dobbed in” for working too hard and deserve a break!

We will include your message in the email to encourage them in their ministry and we will put them in the running to win a full refund for their Youth Ministry Conference ticket once they register.

The most encouraging competition entries will win a FREE eagle design T-shirt (designed by the winner of the survival competition) and every entry will receive 15% off the Fervr store.
