Top 10 Bible verses for when you’re feeling depressed

Here is some ammunition for the fight against depression.

Sadly, as COVID-19 continues to sweep the world, depression rates are skyrocketing.

When we feel depressed, we can start to worry about our faith.

But God doesn't wait for you to be perfect, he loves you as you are.

You're allowed to be sad. You're allowed to not have it together.

Jesus loves you...now.

May God use these verses to lift your eyes to our Lord and saviour. May your heart be lifted as you raise your eyes to him.

Matthew 11:28
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Psalms 42:11
Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.

Psalms 37:23
The Lord makes firm the steps
of the one who delights in him;
though he may stumble, he will not fall,
for the Lord upholds him with his hand.

Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Deuteronomy 31:8
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Psalms 30:5
For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may stay for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning.

Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

1 Peter 5:7
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Revelation 21:4
‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

God works in many ways. Pray to him, trust in him and seek help. Medical professionals, friends and family are people who God will work through. Don't go through depression alone.
