Hi David, Thanks for this very helpful addition to the video. Great things to keep in mind when we look at things like this.

The Dangers of Illustrations Illustrations can be a very useful tool for explaining a biblical text or idea, but they do have dangers. Some difficulties are as follows: The illustration could be misunderstood This video is a prime example. There is no biblical passage as a guide so it can be understood to be talking about our life or our money. Our youth have taken both views. However how could it be illustrating our lives? We are to please Jesus in in every way Col 1:10. There is not a part of our life for our house or our two cars etc. Our whole life should be lived for Jesus. The way we use the money that Jesus gives us is just a part of pleasing him in every way. The second danger is that the illustration is more memorable than the biblical message it is trying to illustrate. I think this video is a case in point. Finally when an illustration is not clear about what biblical principle it is trying to convey, when people misunderstand it's intention and when it is highly memorable it can be dangerous. From this video we could end up thinking we have to make a choice between giving the last little piece of our lives to Jesus or keeping it for ourselves. Illustrations can be an effective tool, but we need to be careful if and how we use them. The good news is that we don't have to decide if we should give the the last piece of our life to Jesus or keep it for ourselves. Jesus wants us to live our whole life under his kind, protecting, caring and generous rule. What more could we want?

I thought that this was about our life and time, but having watched it a few times I think it is about how we use the money God gives us.
